Donating Gear
Over the last 8 years, we have established a network of connecting sport gear back out into our communities to where there is the greatest need. We would love to receive your donation of gear to help an individual, a classroom, a community group, or a sport team, to be physically active. Donations of sport enable us to establish a robust circular sport gear economy- minimizing waste, and enabling gear to directly reach where it needs to go.
In several regions (Manawatu, Taranaki, Whanganui and Hawke’s Bay), we have donation stations to receive donated sport gear listed below. These stations are located at several businesses and organisations, overseen by the Sport NZ Regional Sport Trust in that region. For all other regions, please get in touch with us, we’d love to hear from you. Please note we are in the process of updating how we receive donations of sport gear, we will update this page on 15 October, 2025, thanks.

Repurposing aged cricket pads
Over the last 8 years, we have received a large number of aged and retired cricket pads – the old classics style, made of leather and cotton with metal buckles to hold the pads in place. Although we are unable to find a home for these well loved cricket pad donations, rather than having them go to landfill, we are working towards repurposing these for use in the animal welfare sector. Please get in touch if you have any older cricket pads to donate, we would love to have your help to repurpose these wonderful old pads.
